AIFD aims to educate students to become professional practitioners in the field of fashion and related industry using the competency  based learning approach. Students are  encourage to have an awareness of fashion and its social and cultural context and to bring that understanding to their work. The department places great value on its industry and professional links that give students an insight into real world commercial requirement.

Emphasis has placed on developed informed creative designers who are prepared for the needs of industry. Our compost is equipped with machinery, computer and wireless Internet. An extensive library, Media Center and IT infrastructure supports the learning experience. Students are not required to purchase their own machinery or computers at any stage of their studies. Glasses are small and our students get personalized attention that promotes their individual growth and originality.

REGISTRATION AND ACCREDITATION

The adeefe  institute of fashion and design has successfully achieved full accreditation through the Commission of technical vocational education and training (CTVET ) to offer the national proficiency certificate to garment making.AIFD  is also fully registered as a private training provider in garment making.

WHAT WILL I STUDY?

As a Fashion Design student you will learn about the design process asset applies to the fashion industry. Elements covered include visual research, drawing, design process, Fashion design, knitwear design, Pattern cutting, garment construction, illustration presentation, manufacturing techniques and market research. There is a focus on understanding fashion in context and students will undertake field research, trend analysis, customer profiling and Brandon within a wide range of contexts for the fashion industry. There is opportunity to link with industry partners to live collaboration projects.
